I didn't know this was the second book in a set. I had read all of Ms. Adams other works and this was a little different. Lots of books about spirits and such. I enjoy books which reveal parts of history and it was fast paced. Good read! I have the first book, now I need to read it.Product details

Burn All Alike is set in Antioch, Georgia and features Mackenzie Cross, who is able to see ghosts, and her girl friend, Sheriff Veronica Birdwell. Fires are being set in Antioch which seem to parallel the "Big Burn" which happened in 1945. As the two women investigate, with the help of a Buddist monk, they discover that during the second world war there was an internment camp outside of town. Unlike the camps in the west, this camp held prisoners who had committed crimes.
As Mackenzie, reporters from the local paper, and Veronica search for clues, Mackenzie is able to see a young female ghost who is seeking vengeance. There are many secrets to be uncovered, crimes to be solved, and scary moments in this exciting read, along with some very funny Southern expressions!
